World Record Price Achieved at Auction for Star Wars Stormtrooper Helmet

Original Star Wars Stormtrooper Helmet sells for world record £78,000 ($120,000) at Entertainment Memorabilia Auction

Collectors from around the world assembled yesterday at the Prop Store Entertainment Memorabilia Live Auction held at the BFI IMAX together with ODEON. The auction achieved unprecedented results over eight hours of exciting and intensive bidding.

The top result of the day was an original Stormtrooper Helmet from STAR WARS: THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK (1980), one of only a handful privately owned, which achieved a world record sale price of £78,000 ($120,000). 

Other noteworthy sales included the Leeloo Dallas Multi Pass from THE FIFTH ELEMENT at £42,000 ($64,000), Katsumoto’s Armour from THE LAST SAMURAI for £48,000 ($73,000), The Witch King's Dagger from THE LORD OF THE RINGS for £36,000 ($55,000) and an Ambassador-Class Starship Model Miniature from STAR TREK which sold for £37,500 ($57,000).

Stephen Lane, Prop Store Founder and CEO said: “The collection auctioned yesterday was phenomenal, and we’re thrilled to see these pieces of history head to new loving homes. A huge thanks to our partners ODEON and the BFI for hosting the momentous occasion. We’re already making plans and accepting consignments for our next auction.”
