This past weekend I was granted the unique opportunity to listen to the complete score to Quentin Tarantino's The Hateful Eight Original Motion Picture Soundtrack via secure digital streaming playback. It is a dream come true too because this marks not only the momentous collaboration between Master Filmmaker Quentin Tarantino and legendary Music Composer Ennio Morricone, whose soundtracks include the Man With Know Name Trilogy with Clint Eastwood and Once Upon A Time In The West as well as John Carpenter's The Thing, this also marks the first time Tarantino has had an original motion picture soundtrack composed from scratch for one of his own features. However fans should not worry because Tarantino still includes sound bites of dialogue in the soundtrack as well as some music by the likes of Roy Orbison. Below is the complete soundtrack listing:

Just listening to the first track on this album sets the tone for what promises to be a return to the type of storytelling employee in Tarantino's feature film debut, Reservoir Dogs. It has at times a droning minimalist quality not unlike the John Carpenter's The Thing soundtrack. Have a listen for yourself. This morning, Ennio Morricone shared "L'Ultima Diligenza di Red Rock - Versione Integrale", the opening track from his upcoming score of Quentin Tarantino's new film The Hateful Eight. The soundtrack will be available for purchase on CD, vinyl, and at digital retail worldwide via Decca Records on December 18, 2015. Third Man Records will also release an exclusive vinyl edition of the soundtrack in the United States. The Double 180 gram LP will include a tri-fold reversible jacket with a soft touch finish, 60"x12" poster, 36"x12" poster, and 12-page booklet insert with stills from the film. The Hateful Eight film will be released on December 25, 2015 screening exclusively in glorious Ultra Panavision 70 mm film and will open wide on January 8, 2016.
