The films television programs of the 1970s were very much about transition from a time of unrest to a time where I think people wanted to escape their world around them through any means necessary as far as cinema and television were concerned. It was a defining decade that introduced the world to many great artists in front of and behind the cameras. You can't have anything that has followed good or bad without the cinema and television of the 1970s. It was arguably one of the most important decades for the presentation of drama on any screen and any genre in history. Ultimately that is why I think as far as why the visual art of storytelling was so important in that decade.
Thank you.
