The two-hour season finale of the Syfy channel original series, The Expanse entitled "Critical Mass/Leviathan Wakes” will air on February 2, 2016 at 10pm and the episode solidifies what I knew from watching the pilot a few months ago, the Syfy I love is back on track. From the distilled adaptation of Arthur C. Clarke's Childhood's End to the dramatization of the book series The Expanse is based on, after years of what I felt was network identity confusion with programs that I frankly felt had no business on Syfy because there wasn't anything remotely Syfy about them, The Expanse has captured the imagination of the Syfy space opera viewer in the same way Game Of Thrones captured the imagination of the fantasy drama viewers on HBO. The finale reveals much and yet it will leave you wanting more.
The fate of the missing woman is revealed and a hint of what she saw and it's nature is delineated lightly while a great tragedy and shifting allegiances will have viewers wondering about what will happen next season for months to come. If you have not tuned into The Expanse, it is not too late the catch up and watch the season finale February 2, 2016 at 10pm on Syfy.
