The Man In The High Castle Season One: Amazon Prime Original Series Review

Though it is a bit of a slow burn at first and there are a few characters whose fates are either unresolved or flat, in particularly DJ Qualls character, not because Qualls is a bad actor or is given an unlikeable character, but because he simply is good beyond belief with no reason for it other than he wants to help his friend. Call me cynical, but characters need motivation and I failed to see why he takes the increasingly extreme risks when he has nothing to gain from it except being a good person? Rufus Sewell is a standout and arguably the most developed character in the entire series. Alexa Davalos is quite beautiful, but sometimes I found myself hating her character because she is too indecisive and some of the action makes no logical sense. What the show has going for it is that it is based on a novel by Philip K. Dick and it is very suspenseful and intriguing. I look forward to the watching the second season whenever it premieres on Amazon Prime.
