For A Few Dollars More Remixes And Shorts.

For A Few Dollars More Remixes And Shorts.

Lee van Cleef versus Clinton Eastwood.

Much like I did with combining two scenes
I had to cut down the confrontation between the the Colonel and The Man With No Name that results in their partnership. Cleef shooting Eastwood’s hat into the air over and over again is one of my favorite parts because it establishes the character with being every bit as formidable as Eastwood’s gunslinger. It also is easier to make out and seems more theatrical. So I left more of that in the scene. I also applied the same filter, which makes it darker than the actual source material was, but seemed subtle and added to the gritty style that made the Italian westerns stick out in stark contrast from what had come before.

Edited down the two scenes to fit into less than sixty seconds and applied a “Western” filter that for this scene and another I felt was appropriate somehow. It is a little darker, but grittier too, which is in keeping with Sergio Leone’s Dollars Trilogy.

Try This.

The Final Duel Sequence: YouTube Exclusive Widescreen Version.

Taking the final dual sequence and cutting it down from eight minutes and thirty five seconds into three shorts, each running less than sixty seconds, this version presents the three shorts together with a running time of two minutes and forty five seconds. Aside from the editing down of the scenes in general, I also employed the comic book mono filter for that graphic novel feel as we head towards the climax of this epic western and once we have, I switched from stark black and white to the gritty color western filter like I used for the first two shorts. Thank you all for your encouragement and support. I claim nothing here. Click on the photo icon below to view on YouTube.
