One of the founding figures in the Seatle Grunge rock music scene of the early to mid 1990s, Chris Cornell had one of the best singing voices of his generation with the ability to hit high notes most of his contemporaries simply could not. The lead singer of Sound Garden as well as Audio Slave and co-lead singer along with Eddie Vedder of the supergroup Temple of the Dog, which was composed of members from both Soundgarden and Pearl Jam, Cornell would also enjoy a solo career that included singing the song "You Know My Name" for the Bond 007 feature film, Casino Royale, which introduced Daniel Craig as the new and at the time of this writing, still current Actor portraying James Bond on the big screen. Cornell was 52 when he passed away.
