I saw Don Jon today on M-GO and it was not a bad directorial debut for Joseph Gordon Levitt. He carries the film well and it was nice to see Tony Danza in something after all these years, but despite the film's exploration into the selfish side of intimate relationships and the impersonal and potentially addictive nature internet pornography can have even on a person who is constantly bedding women without effort like Levitt's character, the movie falls short by projecting stereotypes of Italian Americans and Christianity to almost cartoon like behavior.
