NYCC Expansion Continues with Four Days at Hammerstein Ballroom



NEW YORK COMIC CON CONTINUES EXPANSION WITH FOUR DAYS OF BLOCKBUSTER TELEVISION PANELS AT HAMMERSTEIN BALLROOM  

Ash vs Evil Dead Kicks off New York Comic Con on Thursday, October 6

Reinforces NYCC’s Position as Premiere Event for TV Content with ABC, CBS, FOX, STARZ, SYFY, Freeform and Nickelodeon 

NORWALK, CT – August 31, 2016 – ReedPOP, the world’s leading producer of pop culture events including New York Comic Con (NYCC), is once again offering Fans  programming devoted to today’s biggest television projects. High-profile stars, first look content and breaking news will be on display at the storied Hammerstein Ballroom starting Thursday, October 6 and running the duration of the convention. This is another announcement to come out of NYCC’s expansion into the city this year as they move from two days of content at the Hammerstein Ballroom in 2015 to four full days in 2016. Ash vs Evil Dead will kick off the action and be followed by exclusive Panels from CBS, ABC, FOX, Freeform, Nickelodeon and more. Fans will have the ability to attend the Panels with their valid NYCC 2016 Badge for the day of the Panel(s) they’d like to see.  

The blockbuster lineup at Hammerstein Ballroom includes STARZ who will host a Panel and Screening for Ash vs Evil Dead, where executive producer (and title character) Bruce Campbell and stars Lucy Lawless, Ray Santiago, Dana DeLorenzo, Lee Majors and Ted Raimi will preview this upcoming season and premiere Episode 2.  FOX will have The Exorcist cast and crew debuting the third episode of the upcoming Fall season of the show. ABC will have Once Upon a Time co-creators and executive producers Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz to discuss the upcoming season and provide an exclusive look at an upcoming episodeCBS will bring back Elementary to Hammerstein as stars Jonny Lee Miller (Dexter), Lucy Liu (Charlie’s Angels), Nelsan Ellis (True Blood) and Executive Producer and Creator Robert Doherty will show off an exclusive screening. Freeform will have executive producers Todd Slavkin, Darren Swimmer, McG and cast to discuss the upcoming season of ShadowhuntersSYFY will have panels showcasing the upcoming seasons of both The Expanse & The Magicians with cast and crew! Nickelodeon will showcase sneak peek previews for both Legends of the Hidden Temple and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles – Rise of the Super Shredder.

STARZ Presents “Ash vs Evil Dead”
Thursday, October 6 – 11:00 AM – 12:15 PM
Bruce Campbell (Executive Producer and title character, Ash) along with Lucy Lawless (Ruby), Ray Santiago (Pablo), Dana DeLorenzo (Kelly), Lee Majors (Brock Williams) and Ted Raimi (Chet Kaminski) discuss the hit series, preview what’s to come in the season and premiere episode 2. 

FOX: The Exorcist
Thursday, October 6 – 3:45 PM – 4:45 PM 
Join cast and Executive Producers for a special sneak peek of the brand new third episode of the Fox Fall drama before it airs followed by a Q&A! More than four decades after the groundbreaking film terrified audiences worldwide, a new chapter will thrill viewers on Friday nights with a contemporary story following two very different priests played by Alfonso Herrera (Sense8, The Chosen) and Ben Daniels (Flesh and Bone, House of Cards) tackling one family’s case of terrifying demonic possession.  The series is Executive Produced by Rupert Wyatt, Rolin Jones and Jeremy Slater, and stars Geena Davis (Beetlejuice, Thelma & Louise), Hannah Kasulka (The Fosters, Filthy Preppy Teen$), Brianne Howey (Scream Queens, Horrible Bosses 2), Alan Ruck (War Machine, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off) and Kurt Egyiawan (Beasts of No Nation, Skyfall).

Nickelodeon’s Legends of the Hidden Temple

Come hear about Nickelodeon’s new action-adventure TV movie, Legends of the Hidden Temple, based on the classic kids’ game show from the 90s, premiering this November. Join returning cast members Kirk Fogg and Dee Baker, plus movie cast members Colin Critchley and Jet Jurgensmeyer for a behind-the-scenes look at the TV movie, plus get a special sneak peek preview. Panel will be moderated by Keely Flaherty, Senior Editor, Film & TV at BuzzFeed.

ABC: Once Upon a Time

The Evil Queen is back! The heroes of Once Upon a Time grapple with the return of this super-charged classic villain, while also dealing with Mr. Hyde and the new arrivals from the Land of Untold Stories. CBS: Elementary

A summer has passed for the modern-day crime-solving duo, and Watson’s former surgical patient Shinwell, reappears in her life. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles – Rise of the Super Shredder

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles square off against the most dangerous threat they have ever faced – the Super Shredder! This announcement follows a slew of expansions featured at this year’s Show. As well as Hammerstein Ballroom, The Theater at Madison Square Garden, Hudson Mercantile, Rock Bar NYC and Littlefield will serve as additional venues for both New York Comic Con and NYCC Presents events throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn as ReedPOP continues to take over NYC.
