The Tapestry and Symmetry of the Original Planet of the Apes Series Uncut is a nonlinear telling of moments from the original five Planet of the Apes feature films exploring how the events unfolded, but while in the video we do not get the definitive answer, we do see how time can be altered and how the events of the future from the point of view of the Ape characters from the future also change their past, but not enough to change the fates of all. In my opinion the constant going from point A to B to C is Taylor. I believe his journey is the catalyst that brings on both the apocalypse with the Alpha and Omega bomb because it his presence that eventually culminates in the chain of events that lead to the end of the world and his presence also provides the ship for the Apes from the future to be propelled into the past, bringing with them the disease that killed all the dogs and cats and mutated the apes who rapidly were turned into a slave class by humans and touched off the revolution where eventually we have the two factions in the future whose conflict starts the cycle again in a slightly variant way. So if you really want to change the future in this paradigm then perhaps the only way is not to send Taylor on his voyage because he is the constant that ties everything together consequently.
