The Battle of Scarif in Comic Book Black and White With a Touch of Color is an experiment, taking space war footage from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and edited together without any cutaways from the battle, but using a stark rotoscope black-and-white color filter to a unique effect and then returning and doing another version where, according to the call signals of the rebel pilots, there is a slight pigmentation when you see the pilots in their cockpits. This is the first time I’ve ever had both versions edited together as one continuous reel while it captures the majestic beauty of the artistry of Industrial Light and Magic.
