The adventures of the two most famous time and space traveling heroes, (of a sort), outside of Doctor Who continue with Warner Brothers Discovery Home Entertainment’s release of Rick And Morty Season 7 on Blu-ray Disc. There are lingering questions in season Seven like What’s Up With Jerry? EVIL Summer? Will Rick And Morty still be here in 100 years? Or at least until Season Ten? None of these questions will definitively answered here because this is a review and not a Cliff’s Notes, but whether you are a long term fan of the series or new, the answers and questions are to be discovered in this lavishly packaged Blu-ray Disc set, which features all ten episodes in 16 by 9 1080p Full HD video presentation. English DTS-HD Master Audio and French Language Dubbed Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Soundtracks are encoded as options along with English Subtitles for the Deaf and Hearing Impaired.
Watching Rick And Morty is an experience made ever more invigorating with the high bandwidth of 1080p Full HD picture quality that comes only through Blu-ray Disc physical media. You can watch it just fine streaming or for those who still have not cut the cord, through cable and satellite broadcasts, but for that extra bit rate your eyes may only perceive, but your brain will truly appreciate, the sheer splendor of not only watching all ten season seven episodes on Blu-ray Disc, but knowing you will never have to pay an internet service provider for the privilege of watching Rick And Morty at home whenever you want is is a worthwhile consideration not to be underestimated. The English DTS-HD Master Audio Soundtrack is sublime and clear with an expansive mix that transcends the dimensions of known time and space.
All ten episodes and the extra value features are encoded onto a single Blu-ray Disc with beautiful artwork on both sides of the cover insert in between the clear plastic cover and the semi transparent Blue BD Case that comes housed in a premium cardboard slip case. The contents of the Blu-ray Disc are detailed on the inside facing side of the insert with original season artwork printed on both sides too.
The extra value features include a deep look into all ten Season Seven episodes, the creation through fusion of the Jerricky character as introduced by series Director Jacob Hair where he takes the viewer on a walk through the making of the highlight episode “Unmoricken.”
Further visual dissertations on the crafting of the characters from Season Seven and a deeper look into the story shifts and revelations are discussed from the point of view of members of the series’ crew.
In addition to the packaging detailed above Steelbook Blu-ray Disc and DVD options have also been released, but sold separately. Whichever your format and packaging of choice may be, Rick And Morty Season Seven is available now at retailers on and offline courtesy of Warner Brothers Discovery Home Entertainment.
