Arrow: The Complete Fourth Season On Blu-ray Disc Set Review

FTC Notice Of Compliance: "Warner Bros. Home Entertainment provided me with a free copy of the Blu-ray I reviewed in this Blog Post. The opinions I share are my own."

Arrow had a pretty interesting fourth season as it expanded upon the show's universe to include broader storylines while still maintaining some of it's edgy feel from the earlier seasons. Arrow is driven back to Star City where he encounters new heroes and villains alike. The fourth season's villains include Damien Darhk, leader of the criminal organization, H.I.V.E. Malcolm Merlyn becoming the new Ra's al Ghul and leader of the League of Assasins, The Bug-Eyed Bandit, Cupid, The Calculator, and Vandal Savage in a two-part crossover episode that starts DC's Legends Of Tomorrow. Heroes that appear in this season include  Matt Ryan reprising his role as John Constantine for the episode "Haunted." The Flash appears in the crossover event "The Flash: Legends Of Today" and "Legends Of Yesterday." Other heroes include Hawkman, Vixen and Black Canary.

All twenty three episodes are included across four Blu-ray Discs that include extra value features like unaired scenes, featurettes covering the star-crossed lovers, Hawkman and Hawkgirl as well as a featurette on the story of Vandal Savage from his comic book origins to his incarnation on DC's Legends Of Tomorrow. A featurette focusing on the origins and evolution of the character of Damien Darhk from the comics to Arrow is also included along with the 2015 Comic-Con panel and a gag reel. An insert detailing episode information and disc contents is included within the Blue BD case along with a limited time only redeemable coupon for an Ultraviolet Digital Copy of the fourth season of Arrow.

A beautiful 1080p full HD picture presented in the (1.78:1) television broadcast aspect ratio with an exciting companion DTS-HD MA 5.1 Surround Soundtrack is provided for all twenty three fourth season episodes along with French and Spanish Language Dolby Digital Dubbed 2.0 Soundtracks and English Subtitles for the Deaf and Hearing Impaired and French and Spanish Language Subtitles encoded as options. The Blue BD case comes housed within a shiny cardboard slipcase.
