Brightburn Review. (Warning - Possible Spoilers.)

Evil Superman. Humans are the bees that pollinate. Brandon (antihero) is like a wasp that uses predatory methods to propagate the species. He was sent to conquer and destroy and that is what he does successfully.

It is also a be careful what you wish for story because you just might get it and ultimately, while some will find it depressing, I thought it was refreshing. It is really a metaphor for getting not what you want, but what you need. In a divided world, something will reunify people, but they won't have a choice as to what that will be. People who want a sequel are missing the point though. While I have no doubt if it makes a huge amount of money, a sequel will be fast tracked, but you can only go two ways with this. Either more of the same, which would hurt the unique quality to this film or the opposite, which would also spoil the original.

So while I liked the movie, I hope they resist temptation even though judging by the majority of the stuff released today, they will milk it until it's not even scary and people will cheer him like they did Freddy Kruger and Jason Vorhees in the 1980s.
