Original Star Wars Stormtrooper Helmet sells for world record £78,000 ($120,000) at Entertainment Memorabilia Auction
Collectors from around the world assembled yesterday at the Prop Store Entertainment Memorabilia Live Auction held at the BFI IMAX together with ODEON. The auction achieved unprecedented results over eight hours of exciting and intensive bidding.
The top result of the day was an original Stormtrooper Helmet from STAR WARS: THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK (1980), one of only a handful privately owned, which achieved a world record sale price of £78,000 ($120,000).
Other noteworthy sales included the Leeloo Dallas Multi Pass from THE FIFTH ELEMENT at £42,000 ($64,000), Katsumoto’s Armour from THE LAST SAMURAI for £48,000 ($73,000), The Witch King's Dagger from THE LORD OF THE RINGS for £36,000 ($55,000) and an Ambassador-Class Starship Model Miniature from STAR TREK which sold for £37,500 ($57,000).
