A Tribute To Earnie Hudson on behalf of my childhood friend, who was a big fan, but passed away in 2021. R.I.P. Rob.

Penitentiary II was written, produced and directed by Jamaa Fanaka, who also directed the original and a third film in the series. It stars Leon Isaac Kennedy, Glynn Turman, Ernie Hudson, Mr. T, Tony Cox, and Rudy Rae Moore. It was released in 1982 around the time Mr. T became a household name after appearing

in Rocky III. The film is an early 1980s Blaxploitation flick and I became aware of it because my childhood friend became obsessed with it and was a huge fan of Ernie Hudson, who became a well known and respect Actor in a variety of roles on both the big screen and Television. Mr. Hudson portrayed Winston Zeddemore in the Ghostbusters series, but here he plays a very different character named Half Dead, the villain

I have edited down Penitentiary II to focus mainly on Ernie Hudson’s Half Dead character, but I have removed the most violent scenes and replaced all of the dialog with Jack Wheaton’s score from the opening credits. Afterwards I have a brief text dedication to my friend. May he rest in peace. I do not claim ownership or copyright of anything here. I just edited the film down to seven minutes and replaced the dialog with the opening score. In light of these circumstances I hope no one flag this film with a red copyright flag that would ban it from being viewed globally. The film is not intended for kids, but it does not need an age restriction since all of the objectionable content was taken out. I appreciate your time and consideration and hope you all enjoy. Namaste.
