The Handmaid's Tale Episodes 207 and 208 Review

One of the best genre shows on streaming television is The Handmaid's Tale on HULU. I have screen the seventh and eight episodes of The Handmaid's Tale, which will premiere respective on premiere on Wednesday May 30, 2018 and Wednesday June 6, 2018 respectively on HULU. The reason why I chose to wait was it was difficult to write about this episode without seeing the most recent episodes. Even now I am quite concerned about revealing spoilers, especially since I prefer not to write "spoiler reviews" for any film or TV program. So if you are not yet up to date, please stop now. I will do a 10 to 1 countdown now so you can return later and not worry about having anything revealed to you that has not yet streamed officially.

Following the bombing, anyone under suspicion is being round up and executed. In Gilead when a Commander is found guilty, it is possible that the entire family will be wiped out and all the servants are executed too. As a result Offred and everyone related to the Commander is in danger by a rival Commander assigned to find the culprit, but in reality is really more interested in framing the Commander in order to succeed him. With the Commander critical in the hospital, both Offred and Serena must set aside differences in order to survive. The following episode continues the storyline where by we see how fortunes can change in Gilead for meek and the powerful and both episodes serve as fantastic bookends for what good deeds can warrant while setting something up subtly that has been going on all season, but I believe will come to fruition in the next two episodes to come, which are the last for this season.
As can be expected, The Handmaid's Tale looks more cinematic than most network television dramas and though it can be very bleak, the acting and the storytelling are top notch and carries the concept through to fruition beautifully. So do not forget to tune in and stream this amazing HULU original series.
