MAD MAX: FURY ROAD sounds off at Australian Academy Awards!

MAD MAX: FURY ROAD WINS 

AACTA AWARD FOR BEST SOUND

 

 Formosa Group’s Team Included Sound Supervisors 

Mark Mangini and Scott Hecker; Other Sound Award-winners Include 

Chris Jenkins, Gregg Rudloff, David White, Ben Osmo and Wayne Pashley

 

HOLLYWOOD, CA – The Mad Max: Fury Road sound team won the AACTA Award (Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts) for Best Sound, during the 5th Annual AACTA ceremony held at the Star Event Centre in Sydney on November 30. The gifted ensemble recipients included supervising sound editors Mark Mangini and Scott Hecker of Formosa Group, as well as re-recording mixers Chris Jenkins and Gregg Rudloff. Additional sound team award winners on the Kennedy/Miller/Mitchell production included sound designer David White, production sound mixer Ben Osmo and additional sound re-recording mixer / supervising sound editor Wayne Pashley.

Released by Warner Bros., Mad Max: Fury Road was also honored with AACTA Awards for Best Visual Effects or Animation, Best Cinematography, Best Original Music Score, Best Editing and Best Production Design.

 

The AACTA Awards have honored screen excellence in Australia since 1958. These awards recognize film, television and documentary screen craft excellence - including screenwriting, producing and acting, cinematography, composition and costume design - across over 40 awards. These are Australia's highest film and television awards.
