November 13, 2013, New York, NY - Greetings from Tromaville! To honor Troma's fortieth anniversary, "Return to Nuke 'Em High: Vol. 1", directed by Lloyd Kaufman, is the gala opening-night selection of the prestigious New York City Horror Film Festival on Thursday, November 14, 7pm, at Tribeca Cinemas, 54 Varick Street. The film will be followed by an exclusive screening of the first five minutes and trailer for "Return to Nuke 'Em High: Vol. 2".
Legendary auteur Lloyd Kaufman, President of Troma Entertainment and Creator of "The Toxic Avenger", will conclude with a Q&A session and be honored by the festival with the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Quentin Tarantino has long been a fan and friend of Troma Entertainment. When he made "Kill Bill" in two volumes to create an 'Event Film,' Lloyd Kaufman took note: "Michael Herz and I decided that to mark Troma's upcoming 40th year, we, too, would produce an 'Event Film' in two volumes just like Quentin did," said Kaufman, "except slightly less lavish in the budget department."
"Return to Nuke 'Em High: Volumes 1 & 2", directed by Lloyd Kaufman, is a hilarious, thoughtful sci-fi Event Film with themes ripped straight from today's headlines: the contamination and degradation of the world's food supply, rampant bullying and LGBTQ love triumphing over prejudice and violence. The film-a revisiting of Troma's 1986 Class of Nuke 'Em High-is in the same vein as other classics such as Class of 1984, Rock 'n' Roll High School and Carrie, but it's seen through the unique vision of Lloyd Kaufman and the Troma Team.
Welcome to Tromaville High School, where, unfortunately, the glee club has mutated into a vicious gang of Cretins. Riddick Arrives On Blu-ray & DVD On January 14, 2014
There are still very few details about this upcoming Blu-ray and DVD Combo Pack Release of Riddick except it should include both a Digital Copy and Ultraviolet HD Digital Copy Code within the packaging and that the title is scheduled to be released on January 14, 2014. Earlier this year, I had read an online article regarding an extended cut of the film that includes a lead in for the next chapter, but as far as I know there have been no official details released. I am looking forward to owning this when it comes out or sooner if a review copy is made available. In the meantime at least we have a release date and a little something to look forward to in the early part of the new year. If I get any more details I will add them under a separate future post. Featuring all 24 episodes from the third season, the six-disc Blu-ray set also includes never-before-seen special features that are exclusive to this release: “In A Time of War,” a new three-part documentary, and a new featurette entitled “Temporal Cold War: Declassified.”
In addition, the Blu-ray includes bonus material previously released on DVD such as commentaries, deleted scenes from select episodes and archival mission logs for an in-depth and immersive viewing experience. With breathtaking 1080p high-definition picture and remastered sound, the STAR TREK: ENTERPRISE Blu-ray releases have received rave reviews.

STAR TREK: ENTERPRISE – SEASON THREE on Blu-ray will be available in 1080p with English 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio, German 5.1 Dolby Digital, French Stereo Surround and Japanese Stereo Surround. The discs also include English SDH, French, German, Japanese and Dutch subtitles. The Blu-ray is Not Rated in the U.S. and rated PG in Canada.
