Legendary Entertainment and Warner Bros. Pictures Announce Compelling Lineup of Dune Merchandise, including Video Games, Fashion Collaborations, Toys & Collectibles, Apparel & Accessories, Publishing and More Just in Time for the Holidays


BURBANK, CA November 11, 2021 – Coming off the heels of its thrilling success at the global box office and the exciting announcement of plans for Dune: Part Two, Legendary Entertainment, in partnership with Warner Bros. Pictures, announces a robust licensing and merchandise program for Denis Villeneuve’s Dune, the critically acclaimed adaptation of Frank Herbert’s genre-defining and award-winning novel of the same name.  In celebration of the film, a well-curated collection of products is rolling out that will capture the fascination of core fans and collectors while also appealing to those only now discovering the story of the epic hero’s journey of Paul Atreides (played by Oscar® nominee Timothée Chalamet).  The range spans traditional categories, including toys, games, collectibles and apparel, but also features refreshingly unexpected lifestyle and fashion activations.


Below is a glimpse at the exciting and growing collection ofDune consumer products hitting the market now and in the coming months.  






Collectors and enthusiasts will have no shortage of memorabilia with which to interact.  McFarlane Toys and Dark Horse are on board with a range of collectible figures for all tiers of distribution, highlighting the film’s enviable all-star cast. Funko is dialing up the “cute” factor with a collection of signature Pop! figures featuring Dune’s engaging characters.  United Cutlery has launched a line of replica weaponry from the film, including the iconic Crysknife.  APMEX, the largest online retailer in the precious metals industry, has created a set of limited-edition coins and collectibles inspired by the film.  Lineage Studios has developed a series of high-end replicas from the stunning set pieces, props and jewelry that were featured in the film. Gotham CityAbysse and Aquarius are offering fans must-have gift and novelty items ranging from posters and keychains to backpacks and tin boxes.  Mondo and Bottleneck Gallery are highlighting unique artist-driven interpretations of the stunning world of Dune for wall décor. Theory 11 is developing playing cards with bespoke artwork that features Duke Leto as the King and Lady Jessica as the Queen, while Bear Walker has created an intricate custom-made wooden skateboard showcasing the desert landscape and Sandworms of Dune. Additionally, fans will be able to experience Dune 365-days a year with a new calendar offering from Sellers Publishing. Rounding out the group, U.K. pop culture retailer Forbidden Planet is developing a host of products across home, gift and apparel categories. 



To highlight the distinctive aesthetic of the world of Dune, several fashion and accessories partners have come on board to create capsule collections in celebration of the film.  High-end casual couture brand Demobaza has lent its signature minimalist and futuristic styling to a capsule collection of inventive looks inspired by the film.  APL’s exclusive line of athletic footwear takes design and color inspiration from the different factions highlighted in Dune – House Atreides, House Harkonnen and the Fremen – and features its trademark revolutionary technology that sits stylishly at the intersection of luxury and performance.  Eyewear brand Illesteva is launching a similarly inspired line of sunglasses handmade in Italy and France, while avant-garde accessories designer Chris Habana has crafted an edgy collection of Dune-inspired jewelry items that are both high-fashion and wearable.

Rounding out the apparel licensees, Mad Engine is creating a wide range of products for mass retailers and ecommerce, while Redbubble will enable fans to put their own interpretation of Dune designs into the marketplace with fan-driven merchandise. And, finally, Trademark Products will be developing apparel for the UK market, while ulkin will launch a fashion collaboration in South Korea.  



In a first-of-its-kind collaboration, Calm, the leading mental wellness brand with the #1 App for Sleep, Meditation, and Relaxation™, has used audio from the film to create in-app soundscapes inspired by the sounds of the planets Arrakis and Caladan. With Arrakis, a vast desert world of infinite horizons and desolate beauty, Calm users can immerse themselves in the planet’s serene wind breeze and rustling sand. Caladan, a lush oceanic planet with evergreen mountain forests, offers users the ability to absorb the sounds of continuous rainfall with a thunderous backdrop.




Insight Editions, in cooperation with Legendary Comics, is giving fans a comprehensive look at the making of the film.  Now fans can be part of this creative journey with The Art and Soul of Dune, written by Dune executive producer Tanya Lapointe. This visually dazzling exploration of the filmmaking process gives unparalleled insight into the project’s genesis.  


Partnering with Herbert Properties LLCDune: The Official Movie Graphic Novel is now available for pre-order exclusively on Kickstarter (in cooperation with Rocketship Entertainment), followed by a book market mass release.  The graphic novel adaptation, from the creative team of Lilah Sturges, Drew Johnson, ZID, and Niezam, brings Timothée Chalamet and the all-star cast to the page through stunning visual artwork to tell Frank Herbert’s seminal hero’s journey. Exclusive merchandise and collectibles will also be offered through Kickstarter.


And finally, Frank Herbert’s original Dune novel has been reskinned with new cover artwork from the 2021 film for fans new and old to enjoy.

Gale Force Nine, partnering with Genuine Entertainmentand various publishers, is offering something for every gamer with a bevy of Dune tabletop games.  Dune: Imperium from Dire Wolf Digital marries deck-building and worker-placement in a deeply immersive experience inspired by the film.  Modiphius Entertainment explores the full scope of the franchise over time in Dune: Adventures in the Imperium, an expansive tabletop roleplaying game series.  Both games are available at retail now. 


In the gaming & gambling space, global gaming giant Aristocrat Technologies Inc is bringing the intrigue of Duneto casinos worldwide with a branded slot machine filled with sandworms, spice and a wealth of immersive content.  


And, finally, for videogame fans, Funcom is currently developing PC and console games for rollout over multiple years. Two of these games are currently in development, with one having already been announced as an open-world multiplayer experience. Additionally, mobile games and virtual reality are also in the works to further extend the franchise.
