I have a great many friends and acquaintances abroad so I wrote this to address something I have noticed for them as well as people here domestically. You know when it comes to real violence, Americans are understandably afraid, but it is true that Americans are to a certain extent desensitized to perceived fake violence on the big screen and the small alike. That noted, I think one might say that we have hit new levels of apathy when prime time shows like Fear The Walking Dead and Hannibal are among the best this summer has had to offer and they both feature in some form or another, cannibalism as a story point... Talk about food for thought friends.
